LOL- Jenna B*sh "doesn't know" who she is supporting for president!
On Larry King she rebuffed an opportunity to endorse McCain. So, could the seed of Chimpy vote Dem? Her fiancee is a stalwart Repub. Kind of funny... Chimpy's kid getting behind an anti-war candidate who bashes her Dad's war as the greatest American foreign policy mistake of all time?

http://www.examiner.com/blogs-73-Yeas_and_Nays~y2008m4d24-Jenna-Bush-I-may-not-support-McCain

In Republican circles, this could constitute a form of sacrilege.

Speaking on Larry King Live last night, first daughter Jenna Bush, who appeared alongside first lady Laura Bush, confessed that she's not sure if she'll vote for the presumptive Republican nominee for president, Sen. John McCain, and even left open the possibility that she'd support either Sen. Barack Obama or Sen. Hillary Clinton.
KING: Do you have a favorite between the two, the two Democrats?

LAURA BUSH: My favorite is the Republican.

KING (pointing to Jenna): Yours too, I would imagine.

JENNA BUSH: I don't know.

KING: A-ha! Are you open to...

JENNA BUSH: Yeah, of course. I mean, who isn't open to learning about the candidates and I'm sure that everybody's like that.

1. Maybe there's hope for Jenna
Perhaps she's felt some heat, being the daughter of our Caligula. I do hope she votes for our nominee. Who knows, maybe she will eventually write the tell-all book on the hypocrisy and lies in her household.

7. I can't believe that
and here's why. She has chosen someone to share the rest of her life with and that means someone she feels shares her values.

Put yourself in her shoes, you don't pick someone who has supported your father's actions if you doubt their legitimacy. Young love is one thing but these are two people whose personal lives are highly involved in politics. It's part of who they are and she picked someone who is firmly in the republican camp, not someone who perhaps thinks what her dad did was wrong.

That's why I don't believe it and think it's just a publicity stunt - all of Jenna's supposed openness to supporting causes the republican party does not support or disagreeing with dear old dad.

Plus it sounds too familiar, as when her father was the "uniter".

14. If it is a publicity stunt
Then why not have the wedding at the White House instead of the privacy of the home in TX.? Talk about publicity!

Your logic does not make sense.

25. not your post, not the wedding
I meant I thought she was pretending that she might not vote for the republican candidate.

That's the publicity part -- it is the same logic that they used to say her father would be a "uniter" - he certainly didn't do things publicly for "publicity" in the sense you meant but he did SAY things publicly to appear to be something he was not. That's the sense I meant this in.

*** Please note that I was responding directly to the post above yours about there being hope and that she might vote for our candidate. I was not responding to your comment about her waiting for Chelsea. ***

that Larry was gonna ask before they agreed to do an interview with King. And every answer was vetted and approved by the WH. She is totally a repub and her apperance on Larry King was to generate free publicity for her WH wedding and to appeal to younger voters by attempting to showcase a young, thoughtful repug woman.

21. Give it up to Larry
I saw them appear on my TV screen and couldn't hit the clicker fast enough. How Larry can stand to be in the same room as those two people is beyond me. There is no human interest story here when your unpopular with the vast majority of Americans!
