Anybody gotten the global cooling video?

My RW relative sent me the youtube video about some theories in the 1970s that predicted global cooling. There was no comment attached - I guess I am supposed to assume that global warming is a flawed theory like the global cooling was. I would think science has progressed and the ability to monitor these things since then and there is some reason Kilimanjaro is no longer snow-capped and Glacier National Park is about to become The Park Formerly Known As Glacier Park.

1. That theory of the 1970's was based upon one person's opinion

I'd have to look it up but he was a scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Laboratory. What he was concerned with at the time was aerosols blocking out the sun's warmth. And it didn't take him long to realize he was way off the mark and never gave much concern to CO2 levels doing the opposite of what he thought aerosols would do. The right wing global warming deniers love to trot out the "well in the 1970's the entire scinetific community blah, blah, blah". They are wrong about that as well as wrong about just about anything they do to fit their ideological agenda.
