Maryland Gov. O'Malley puts homeowners ahead of bankers
About damned time someone sees there are PEOPLE involved in this fucking mess created by BANKERS. Here's what happens when you elect Democrats to replace Republicans at the state level. PEOPLE start to matter once again.

O'Malley Signs Md. Bills Battling Foreclosure Into Law

RIVERDALE, Md. -- Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley signed a series of bills into law Thursday, giving the state broad, new powers to help homeowners avoid foreclosure.

The governor is taking action against predatory lenders and shady practices that have caused a sharp increase in foreclosures.

Prince George's County has more foreclosures than any other area in the state, but almost every county in Maryland has experienced an alarming increase in foreclosures in the past year.

Maryland's new laws are the most comprehensive in the country. The laws subject fraudulent mortgage schemes to criminal prosecution, extend the time a bank must wait to foreclose from 15 days to 150 days and offer homeowners protection from tricks that result in signing away their homes to third parties.

Geoffrey Tate, a housing counselor, said he hopes the new laws will help him save people's homes.

Here's Mr. and Mrs. Governor .....

3. I'm hoping so.
I am stuck in a very red area of the state so get to hear them scream their shit all the time. Working on the ones that might have some brain cells left though.

Hoping District 1 gets a Dem this time after the idiots voted Gilchrest out in their primary.

5. I actually think that's possible
What's his name? Andy Harris? He's an extremist. Gilchrist was a cupcake compared to that guy. I know there's a high Dumbfuck population on the Eastern shore part of the district, but on the Western shore, not so much.

Let's hope.
