Help! Need book suggestions!!
So, I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks, and I need some recommendations for good non-fiction books to read. I like politics, science and foreign affairs. I was hoping the DU community could provide some good suggestions.

So, any recommendations?

Thanks!

11. Have you read "The Red Tent?"
Edited on Sun Mar-30-08 03:29 PM by mahina
I'm not much of a fiction person, but I loved this book. http://www.amazon.com/Red-Tent-Anita-Diamant/dp/0312195516 So did everyone I lent it to. At the end you feel like bidding it goodbye...goodbye, great book!

Edited to say, dammit, I didn't read closely enough to note that you asked for nonfiction. So here's my best nonfiction suggestion: Winston Churchill's voumes on the history of the second world war,http://www.amazon.com/Red-Tent-Anita-Diamant/dp/0312195516

"Coincidence Theory: By sheer chance things just happen repeatedly and coincidentally to benefit their interests without any conscious connivance by them, which is most uncanny. There is also: Stupidity Theory, Innocence Theory, Momentary Aberration Theory, Incompetence Theory, Unintended Consequences Theory and Innocent Cultural Proclivities Theory."
