I'm listening to NPR.
They're covering Baseball pretty well today.

3. Healthy trading day thus far.
Considering the FEAR that was swirling this weekend, it's not doing too poorly. Down 84 points or so right now.

9. Down 0.88% so far on the day.
I watch the S&P 500 more closely. It's currently at 1,265.79, down 1.62% today. That's real bad.

S&P 500 was at 1,342.90 when Junior took office on January 22, 2001. So that's a net loss of 77.11 over the course of 7 years and 2.5 months. Today's S&P would be 1,123.46 based on 2001 dollars, so we've had an inflation-adjusted loss of 219.44 while Stupid has been at the helm.

To put this into context, from January 1950 to December 2001 the S&P 500 returned an average of 9.2% each year, based on capital gains and excluding dividends.

This is not the worst the S&P has done under any president since the Great Depression, but that is only because the index didn't exist until 1950. We truly are suffering under the WORST. PRESIDENT. EVER.
