Al Gore is being bashed
He is being called a hypocrite by so many beacuse of articles like this:

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=nation_world&id=5072659

I believe his home is energy efficient.

Does anyone have any info, so I can rebut some jerks who are bashing him?

AL GORE FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

26. Thanks! I wonder who called who -
Your link tells us:
"Responding to Drudge’s attack, Vice President Gore’s office told ThinkProgress..."

If ThinkProgress called Gore's office, well, OK. But if Gore's office called ThinkProgress - why, that's ... rapid response! And you know what THAT means:
Dude's a CANDIDATE! :)

(Honestly, I can't predict one way or another at this point about Al, I'm on tenderhooks though, because I'm pretty sure he'll let us know SOON!

2. I read something earlier today
It's a 10,000 SF old farm house, which he rehabbed. The rehab was done to make the house as green as possible. I wish I could remember where I read it so I could post the link.

KO is doing this story tonight and will hopefully have someone on who can refute the slams.

12. I hope he comes out and makes a big statement to that effect because
I didn't have access to a computer for about five hours and he is getting pounded. The Think Progress response isn't enough. The rehab actually makes it all make sense and it needs to get out there in a big way.

28. Electric company didn't give info
(snip)

The think tank said Gore used nearly 221,000 kilowatt hours last year and that his average monthly electric bill was $1,359. Johnson said his group got its figures from Nashville Electric Service.

But electric company spokeswoman Laurie Parker said the utility never got a request from the policy center and never provided them with any information.

20. GIVE ME DATA

I want to hear Rush provide his evidence that the hypothesis that global warming isn't happening is true.

First of all, anyone who says the world isn't warming is a complete idiot, it is a FACT that it is warming. No one can dispute that.

The question revolves around...are we perpetuating that warming....and since the science and models I have seen are complex, I wonder how much investment of time Limbaugh has put into his scientific research.

SHOW ME THE DATA...if global warming is false, PROVIDE evidence and I will be the first to reject the hypothesis. PROVIDE THE DATA...what experiment did you do? Let me see your methods so I can duplicate your science. PLEASE rush...provide proof.

17. Nothing new
Gore has done this before and it cost him big in 2000. Nader took enough votes from Gore in Florida to make the difference. A lot of people went to Nader when the 1988 campaign clip of him came out bragging about his experience as a tobacco farmer to tobacco farmers. This after the convention where he was talking about his sister dying from lung cancer in 1981. NOBODY needs to use 20 times as much electricity as the average home. The kids are grown and gone so it's only him and Tipper. He shot himself in the foot on this. So close yet so far.

22. I call things the way I see them.
....and don't really care how others take it. It's the end result that counts, not the candidate and we hurt ourselves and our causes by not being fair and objective about them. Let the other guy blindly follow a personality and screw up for a long time into the future. The Republican Party did that in '04 and it cost them in '06 and will cost them more in '08. Even after four years they put on their blinders and re-elected him. We need to make sure that we don't pickup those same blinders and try them on for size. AMEN!

30. Yes, here's the information:
Responding to Drudge’s attack, Vice President Gore’s office told ThinkProgress:

1) Gore’s family has taken numerous steps to reduce the carbon footprint of their private residence, including signing up for 100 percent green power through Green Power Switch, installing solar panels, and using compact fluorescent bulbs and other energy saving technology.

2) Gore has had a consistent position of purchasing carbon offsets to offset the family’s carbon footprint — a concept the right-wing fails to understand. Gore’s office explains:

What Mr. Gore has asked is that every family calculate their carbon footprint and try to reduce it as much as possible. Once they have done so, he then advocates that they purchase offsets, as the Gore’s do, to bring their footprint down to zero.

It’s the latest in a series of desperate attacks by Drudge to paint Gore as a hypocrite.

Faux and friends were quite nasty, not with what they were saying, but just their body language, they were either laughing in a nasty way, or shaking thier heads in disgust, doocy's voice was raising and squeaky again, all because of the so called story of the amount of electricity he uses.

They now even have it on thier front page as a video story.

That he was likable, that he wasn't an elitist like Gore but was comfortably stupid. Gore wore earth-tones and wasn't trustworthy. Heck, he even misspoke about FEMA! Snark, snark, har, har. The media pushed Bush, an otherwise laughable candidate. He was their guy. They wanted the Iraq war, too. They have so much to answer for.

32. The GOP parrot choir is in full voice. I've heard of attacking the man
when your argument sucks, but it took the wingnuts to invent attacking the man's house.:eyes:

So, Green Power Switch (that means he pays a premium on his bill to support green energy sources), solar panels, compact fluorescents and carbon offsets......nope, guess he's a hypocrite. Let's make fun of the man. After all, he might want to do something positive for the country, and that would make professional obstructionists like Tucker Carlson look, well, like losers. Not going to happen again, GOP Wurlitzer.
