Lewis Black advocates "military takeover" by US troops.
I think he's talking about us.

Might not be such a bad idea.

Said it on Letterman.

1. Give me the Marines and...
I will begin holding people responsible in 30 minutes.

Seriously. Do you think there is any other way to get rid of all the corruption in DC?

2. Other than a military coup? Yeah, I think we could come up with something.
Sarcasm or no, hearing people wish to command a military coup makes me sick a little.

3. The military knows the idiot boy is insane. This idea is gaining traction.
We all need to unite and remove the traitorous neocons from power before they destroy the United States.

4. We have congress to do that
though they are sitting on their hands. I wonder if the military ever approaches them.

7. I'd rather have the idiot-n-chief for the rest of his term...

...then a military coup.

I'd rather have Jeb Bush for the next 8 years, then a military coup.

Once you have one military coup, they become habit forming, and democracy is dead. Look at how hard it's been for Latin America to kick that habit

The only reason- EVER - for the military to take control of the goverrnment, even briefly, is if the president, by force refused to let congress convene.

9. Yeah. . . a military coup. . .
that'll make everything right . . .

From Jefferson to George W. . . . you figure it couldn't get much worse -- then you read citizens advocating military coups . . .

15. It will come to that at some point. All empires go through revolutions and coups at some time.

It's an observation no different than saying the sky is blue or water is wet.

I think it was Jon Stewart who said that comedy is truth except faster.
