Thats the real question here. Its no shame if McCain admitted to things he never would have admitted to had he not been tortured. Most any of us would do the same as McCain did in the same situation. I know I would have.

Bush admits he had Khalid Sheikh Mohammed tortured. Mohammed confessed to everything except kidnapping the Lindbergh baby. But what are those confessions worth when you get said confessions while drowning the man? And McCain appears to be just fine with executing this man and others who's confessions were tortured out of them just like false confessions were tortured out of him.

But yet McCain who has a first hand experience of torture and knows it doesn't work is now voting to allow its use to shore up his standing with his whack job base in an effort to win an election.

Now that is some sick shit.

Don

2. Nothing! I thought it was proven that torture doesn't work.

It's simply barbaric and inhumane.

On Edit: I think this could be a strong campaign point for McCain. His experience as a POW is hard to fathom. It's one reason why I've always tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. He endured horrific things and survived. That's admirable. SO, WHY DOES HE THINK HE HAS TO SELL HIS SOUL TO BE PRESIDENT?
