Those pardons issued in the Iran/Contra affair was like getting a winning homerun with 2 out in the bottom of the 9th inning with a full count, and behind on the scoreboard.

Negroponte remembers it very well. He did not resign his position and take the deputy sec of state position for no reason at all.

He knows that the use of illegal funds in secret operations to back groups who are sworn enemies of the United States is just too much for Negroponte to know about and still main plausible deniability.

This from a man who was ambassador in Honduras during the time that 'death squads' were used by the US to accomplish its goals. Makes you wonder how bad it has to be for the Congress to sit up and take action.

Cheney is the one out of control. Bush is just his puppet. And time is growing short to stop them.
