One day away from the computer to watch two playoff games and I come back to this.

I wonder what Martin Luther King Jr. would have to say about this?

How sad.

1. It has been beyond brutal

seriously

on edit - I want to make it clear to everyone, includig the OP...I am the parent of one of these gay children whom seem to either matter so much or so little...depending on who is posting.

To my hubby and I, well..he matters beyond a lot...and it has been painful at DU for us the last couple of days.

2. I know mtnester. And reading the responses in the
related threads from certain DUers I respect -- or I guess I should say "respected," makes the hurt all the more intense.

I'm just numb.

8. I feel exactly the same way
I don't understand how any Obama supporter is not writing letters and on the phone telling the campaign to stop giving anti-gay people a forum to spread their message of hatred.

9. mtnester I have no idea why people find it all right to discriminate.
I try to find words that might reach you and your feeling about posters who support discrimination against your son, but I can't. They have some growing in the area acceptance. Have a peaceful day.

12. Thank you
most people get why many of us parents are upset today.

We have been through this before, but not from our own side of the fence.

. . . who organized the March on Washington, and was said to have been one of the influences behind King's non-violent approach.

6. A ROVE PLOT...can't you guys see it? A lot of Pubs supporting Obama
who is honestly trying his best to be Nom'd...

But the Pubs see him as the weak guy and want to plunk for him...get him nom'd only to vote RED come NOV.

This is not new...been going on ever since system installed.

Obama knows this but cannot comment due to sensitivity....

When Billy Crystal comments on this....ya know sumpthin is up...and smelly to boot

10. It is very sad indeed
And to top it off, we have DUers who defend this as if it is just some acceptable political ploy to engage African American voters.

Acceptable my ass.

11. Oh, the "change" ministry stuff - shameful, isn't it?
I thought this was going to be about Jeb Bush being all up in your house with disease.
