I am the richest man in the world
Watching Green Bay v NY Giants as my 13 year old son snuggles
under a blanket by me on the sofa w/ our 1 year old lab pup lying across
us. We have chicken from the grill in a spicy "jerk sauce" garlic
bread, and salad w/ blue cheese.

He just ran the dog round the block in 10 degree weather and came in
laughing .... life is good.

Will I spoil him tonight? .... you betya' .... Orange sherbet and dark chocolate
chunks ... fine .... no school tomorrow too.

Politics is important but I hope to make a lifetime memory for him tonight.

from posts you found in GD? :)

Happy weekend, daddio (as my kids sometimes call me).

:toast:

ed: To add my border collie, a Lhasa/poodle mix, cappuccino, and watching the game with both DU Giants and Packers fans.

13. I've got my Marine son home for a day
before he heads back to California and then off to MOS school for 3-1/2 months. Sgt. Longhorn has two dogs in his lap right now. The other three dogs are curled up in their doggy beds by the fire. Sgt. Longhorn, Mr. Longhorn, and I just finished some pizza. We've also been watching football all day (rooted for the Chargers, now rooting for the Packers.)

You're a good dad! :hi:

Kids, friends and family - in and out all day/night, our future daughter-in-law and our boys are here, home safe and sound after being away for a week - lots of excitement, hearing about their trip - planning the upcoming wedding with the girls (3 daughters and f d-i-l), celebrating our 13 y/o daughter's birthday, lots of good food, laughter, love, and the Packers. What more could anybody want?

Edited after last play to request another Packer TD!!! GO PACK!!!

23. Wonderful moments.
Some of my fondest childhood memories are watching sporting events with my dad, although we usually rooted for opposite teams!

Enjoy your precious time. :-)
