26. It only shows up for me briefly at the top of the screen

and sometimes, I don't notice it. The only thing you can do, that I can see, to not miss PM's, is to have a notice sent to your email addy. You can do this by going to Options - it's one of the many things you can do, but I saw nothing about that flashy doohicky!
