"Warrior-poet" gets temporary portrait display at Smithsonian

Jacqueline Canales, 19, right, poses for a camera phone photograph with a portrait of mock television pundit Stephen Colbert, which is on temporary display by the bathrooms near the 'America's Presidents' exhibit at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery in Washington on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008. 'It's kind of sad that this is the first time we've been here,' says Canales of her and friend Unique Bexley's, left, visit to the Portrait Gallery.

I don't think they're expecting all the new visitors that Stephen's misison will generate... It might actually earn the portrait a place in the Smithsonian (in the "puffy shirt" department)

2. And this is exactly why the Smithsonian decided to allow the portait to hang
I suspect that many will have the same reaction.

I'm considering a trip myself.

4. He's a very good dancer, I think....
His current schtick doesn't allow for much physical comedy.. but from watching his "moves" I suspect that he is VERY good at it.
