Hillary
My husband and I have made some observations which might help improve her external persona.

He feels that Hillary shakes her head back and forth too much. This gives a negative impression. People who nod their head up and down, by contrast, give a positive body language message.

I think her hair is very nicely styled, but feel she could use some fringe, bangs and possibly side layering. It would give her a softer look.

I know it's trivial, but what the hey, might help.

4. Why would he need one?
Something you disapprove of the way he looks? Do tell.

5. The original post recommended a 'softer' look for HRC. Somehow, we never say that of men.
I think BO looks very good, actually.

But I've no problems with the way HRC looks either.

It's sexist. Same shit about Capt. Janeway on Star Trek - "She needs to show more vulnerability," "She needs a softer look," etc.

6. We don't usually say that of men, and yes it's sexist. But it might help.
Sexism is alive and active in our society. It is changing, slowly, but still may be necessary to work with it to get what is needed done.

8. And once we "soften" her look? Then they say, "she's too soft". Bullshit.
She looks great, but that's not what's important.

11. There is that problem also. Can't please everyone.
Since tvs have become so prevalent, and such rapid communications, things have changed for campaigning. No longer is it just issues, or who can spend the most, though both of those are part of it. You are assertive, I'm a bitch. You are empathetic, I'm weak. (Male/female definitions)

7. I don't watch Star Trek...
but I see your point. This gutter politics just goes round and round. Attack and defend. Tit for tat. It really is very silly. I know better, but I still get sucked in to the mire. My bad.

9. You're still cool with me.
And I like all three of our candidates. From what I've read - I couldn't take seeing Russert - all three did very well last night. For the Republicans watching, it must have been like what Hitler thought when he saw FDR and churchill sitting behind FDR's desk having a friendly joint press conference. Uh, oh.....

12. Self presentation is not trivial.
Senator Clinton comes off as abrasive much of the time. She sounds defensive and as though she's more interested in herself than in her audience.

She could cure that with a good coach.
