A proposal for all "Christian" candidates
You know, Huck may be on to something here with this Theocracy thing. He is almost right. The Ten Commandments should be adhered to.

But

With no teeth, then there is no use. So (and here is where it gets good) ask Huck if he will do this when elected:

Write a law that says that any public office holder who violates any of the Ten Commandments will be thrown out of office on the spot, and can never hold office again.

And we need a team to go to all the religion pushing candidates and ask them to sign a pledge that they will adhere to the Ten Commandments and the beatitudes (the teachings of Christ), and, if they do not, they will quit their office.

I would love to see their reactions when approached with this, when they are asked to live up to the teachings of their religion/

1. If we had done this in 2000, we would have never had to deal with Chimpy
"Thou shalt not steal" would have overruled the Supreme Court.

2. False gods before me
Who decides that? I suppose since we are a "christian" nation, that means Jesus and a church? Is he prepared to throw in jail all Jews, Muslims, etc., for not going to a christian church? What about athiests who don't worship any gods? LIFE?

Asburd. Do these people really THINK about whaat they say?

4. Our founding fathers didn't escape one theocracy in order to set up another one
That is what seperation of church and state is all about.

In addition, no where in the bible does it say that people should be forced to believe. It states that it is a personal choice given to everyone. BIG difference there.
