This really shows why we have had labor unions in this country for so long-could you imagine sending the brown noser & lackey in to work out everyone's pay?

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Jan. 15 -- President Bush on Monday launched a rare round of intensive personal diplomacy with Saudi King Abdullah aimed at winning support for a variety of American objectives such as rebuilding Iraq, pressuring Iran, fighting al-Qaeda and backing the U.S.-brokered peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

He pressed on oil prices as well, saying he hoped the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries would consider boosting production quotas at its next meeting in an effort to bring down costs.

The global surge in oil prices, which touched $100 a barrel in January, has transferred tens of billions of dollars from developed nations to petroleum exporters like Saudi Arabia.

He said he planned to raise the issue directly with Abdullah when they meet on Tuesday night.

Bush came bearing a big gift: His administration formally notified Congress on Monday that it plans to seek approval for the sale to Saudi Arabia of $120 million in precision-guided bombs as part of an overall arms package worth roughly $20 billion. Congress has 30 days to try to block the sales, but administration officials appeared confident they have the votes to proceed with the deal.

Saudi Oil Minister to Bush: Kingdom Will Raise Production Only If Market Justifies It

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,322746,00.html

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia's Oil Minister Ali Naimi said Tuesday that the kingdom would raise oil production only when the market justifies it, responding to U.S. President George W. Bush's urging that OPEC nations put more oil on the world market to reduce prices.
