take a deep breath or two and let it out slowly
for the past week or so I had been contemplating putting all threads on "hide" which involved:

- Goodbye DU
- Hillary sucks
- Obama sucks
- Edwards sucks
- this one is not electable, that one is not electable
- threads where someone is accused of being a troll
- "they" stole the votes

do a quick count of just the 1st 3 pages I realized if I did that, there would be nothing to read in GD or GDP forums

Honestly, there are many times where I have to check the headers on the page to make sure I was in the DU and not on the freeprepublic. It's a veggie delight with all the asparagrass being cast around here. Im SERIES!!11!!

perhaps I have a different view of the primaries. To begin - I live in PA, our primary isn't until the end of April. in all likelyhood, it will be moot as to who I vote for and the best I can hope for is to stack the delgates for whoever to use as leverage.

Secondly, I'm not thrilled with any of the candidates. There are pros and cons to all of them. There are no PERFECT candidates, never has been, never will be. All I can do is a gut check to see which one I can live with for the next 4 years. yeah, I may go into the booth with a closepin on my nose. that being said - I have no idea who I will vote for in April.

the one thing I do know - whoever is elected in November has an several "HUGH" tasks ahead of them. The economy, including fuel prices, the housing market etc. The 'war on terror' / Iraq and repairing foreign relations. Healthcare, social security, the environment. Everything that the bushies have done in the past 7 years have to be undone.

does this sound like I'm backing Hillary, i.e. experience? No - sometimes "experience" gets in the way of looking at things differently. Now I'm backing Obama or Edwards? nope - looking at things differently doesn't mean you have the skills (experience) to be able to follow it through.

the other factor is Congress. Dems are in charge at the moment - yet how many times have we heard the whining "we don't have the votes". How many bills have been blocked by the republics, or if passed to not have the support needed to override a veto? Now you have to ask "which candidate is best able to work with congress"

all the presidential candidate promises and platforms mean nothing if they can't work it through congress.
