Why are pundits like Oompahloompahs?
Actually I am not totally sure what an oompahloompah is but I would imagine that whatever they are, they are all alike.

I am referring to the TV political pundits who show up at election time to explain why voters vote, who they vote for, why they vote for whomever they vote and why the hell should we care about what they think in the first place. First, just look at them.....rejects from that show Make Me A Super-Model. These are very nice look people who I suspect had their own talk shows on local TV stations around the country and someone saw them and thought they were sooooo smart and erudite that they absolutely must be on network TV because they have so much to say. And when they get there, many will try to become comedians like Glen Beck and it just wont work. Others think they are the answer to Edward R. Murrow. Not a chance. Still others will demonstrate their lack of the meaning of the word RESEARCH and will make statements that each day, are proven to be false my Media Matters.

Some believe it is their job to ridicule people who have achieved so much more than they ever will. They will allege falsehoods that even a hospital cadaver could spot as being bogus. They will misquote, while others will outright lie. They will get caught in the lie but never own up to it.

But still the question that remains unanswered is.....who the hell are these people and what makes them believe they are so smart that the country is holding its breath in anticipation of the pearls of window they have prepared for us.

Just look at how accurate they were in predicting the New Hampshire voting. I cant be sure but I am fairly certain that in the background of each one of hem, there is a period when they were disc jockeys who hoped to become shock jocks. Or maybe Poli Sci majors in Junior College. Wherever they come from, I wish they would go back....expecially the Faux News Crew. If I cant feel certain about their news and/or government background, why should I grant credibility to their words?

1. sounds like a dead-on description of Bill Schneider
That intolerable ass at CNN. He says the most vapid, stereotypical things about voters. Just a complete overpaid motor-mouthed fool. Thank goodness he and his ilk only stay around long enough to provide chatter until the polls close and we get the projected winners, at which time I can shut the damn tv off. Geez, I'd rather listen to Mike Malloy do the political play-by-play on election night than these goof-head pundits on tv.

2. "Pearls of window"?
Is that a typo, or a Freeper-ism I somehow missed? :-)

4. Those "pearls of window" was a large typo.
I was trying to type "Pearls of wisdom" but it was late and with arthritic hands, my fingers were not working well. Sorry for the typos. I will try to do butter.....er.....better, then next time.:wtf:
