I'm convinced that if this were a two candidate, rather than a three
candidate race, Senator Clinton would not have won New Hampshire, and would not have garnered much more support in Iowa than she did.

We either need Edwards or Obama to drop out of the race---the one that drops out given the VP slot--and make this a two candidate race, or we need them all to stay in through the convention and fight it out on the floor in Denver.

We need a candidate that we all can support without holding our noses, and IMO, Hillary isn't it.

3. I'ld like Hillary to drop out, but barring that they should all stay in to the end.
I could support either Edwards (my fav) or Obama in the general. But I won't hold my nose and vote for Clinton if she gets the nomination. I will write in Al Gore, or simply leave presidential choice blank.

She does not get my vote. Ever.

4. You won't convince anyone around here, but I agree
I'd love for Edwards to be the nominee, but he will get 15% in every state from here on out. Even if the polls are off and he doubles what is expected, he will still come in 3rd. SC was the only state he won in 2004, and he isn't remotely close to winning it.

I think Hillary will win this with Obama and Edwards both in the mix.

5. Considering 3rd place finishes, I nominate Edwards for that role.
Snowballs fare better in hell than Edwards fares in this election.

6. Dont bank on it

Edwards support is starting to wear thin and after last night, lots will drop voting for him on the simple fact he is seen as non viable. All depends where the dice falls now. I wouldnt be so quick to think it will go to Obama though.

7. That was the first thing
that jumped out at me this morning when I saw the stats, and I definitely feel there would have been a totally different outcome. The problem is neither Edwards or Obama will drop out at this point and maybe they shouldn't, because it will give those of us a chance in states that have primaries in April to vote for the candidate we like instead of having others make the decision for us.

as much as an Iowans. Two of my preferred candidates have already dropped out much to my dismay.

What we need is a nationwide primary date. Period.

Edit: spelling

10. I'm stunned by the assumption that we Edwards people would flock en masse to Obama
It's the standard DU position to loathe Hillary but I don't, so please don't assume that all of us are united in the destruction of Hillary. It isn't true and it's a rather arrogant assumption the Obama-ites suffer under.
