Everyone admits to crying? I didn't see Hillary cry?
Edited on Tue Jan-08-08 10:28 AM by kentuck
I watched that news clip and she did choke up a bit because it was a very emotional matter for her. But I did not see tears. I did not see her cry? Anyone else see her cry? Did she cry without tears?

I suppose there are some folks that want to plant that in people's minds? Hillary cried. She is weak. It is yellow journalism. And I'm not even a Hillary supporter. But I do think we should be truthful and honest about it.

1. Correcto!
My requirements are that tears must fall, at the very least. Helps if accompanied by sobs.

3. I'm with you
I didn't see any "crying." That's how they do the spin. They just keep saying it until so many people believe it, that is becomes true.

Making me all the more skeptical of things I hear or read. There's a rush to believe whatever we are told, it seems, that we must get rid of at this point. It's no longer reliable.

4. Nope, HRC is tough - it was, IMO, a well calculated maneuver.
I would not ever vote for her, but HRC is highly intelligent and mentally tough. No joke, I'd not ever doubt her resolve, but I don't trust her, much less the horrific thought of a 3rd DLC stacked Executive Branch.

5. You are correct
She got a little choked-up, and that was it. The "cry" thing is an invention to make her appear "weak" and "womanly", which is odd, considering that most Hillary jokes are about how she's either (a) masculine or (b) lesbian.

6. I notice that Guiliani and Bush come out this morning..
and admit they have "cried". The only time I could see either of them cry would be over some type of loss to their arrogant egos.

7. The whole thing is disgusting
Frankly there are some people on DU for whom I have completely lost respect for over their behavior regarding this issue. It's a shame, but I will NEVER have the same regard for these people's posts as I once did. Shame on them.

10. She got choked up; but she didn't cry
And I saw it as real, and not calculating. I think she genuinely believes that, especially when she was saying "some people think it's a game..."

12. You would think this would be the main part of the story.
That she didn't actually cry, instead of assuming she did, number one. Number two, so what if she did? Does anyone think Hillary is not competent. I have lots of issues with her, but that's not one of them-she is startlingly competent. John Boehner, minority whip, cries all the damn time at something or another. I can't believe people are saying the end is near for her over this, of all things, over this.

13. Tears are harder to fake than just choking up.
