God damn, what a country.
:)

I have no candidate, deliberately so.

So "my candidate" didn't just win Iowa.

But that's one hell of a candidate right there.

That top three? Fine with me in any arrangement.

Congratulations, Senator Obama. See you in my neighborhood next week. Bring your friends. It'll be fun.

:toast: to Obama, to all the candidates, to Iowa, to New Hampshire and Michigan beyond.

One down, lots and lots and lots to go. This Dem race is going to go deep into the late innings, I think, and nevermind 2/5.

Hoo.

:toast: again.

4. 36 - 30, 30
That's a pretty decisive win. We'll see if his campaign can hold a leader position. At least Hillary knows she's got to do some retooling if she's going to reach people.

5. i think it's great...
I'm really glad that Obama did well...but I would think the closeness would indicate that if this race is suggestive of the pulse of the nation...all these candidates have proven viable.

6. MASSIVE turnout on the Dem side. Meager turnout on the GOP side.
Iowa is in play for '08.

Stone the crows.

7. Obama and Huckabee! POLAR OPPOSITES! Is this country divided or what?
Congrats to Senator Obama! It really is a good day for this country.

Obama wasn't my guy either. I didn't have a dog in this fight, so anyone was fine by me too. I would have liked Edwards, but that's OK! Obama is a brilliant man and I'll proudly vote for him!

This is so cool. Very, very cool.:toast:

8. You've hit on exactly what I was thinking
Could they be any more opposite? That in its self speaks volumes as to the state of our divide country.

9. If the turnout numbers are indicative,
we are "divided" 2/3 by 1/3.

I can live with that.
