First of all, I welcome you. If most of you didn't care a great deal, then you wouldn't be here.

Periodically, various members will publish lists of all Bush administration transgressions, scandals and crimes. Many of you may know most or all of them, but for those of you who would like a complete list, and for veteran DU members who have forgotten some, (because let's face it, there have been so damned many), then may I direct you to "Hugh's list," which is up to date, as of the 25th of this month. It is the most complete list I have found.

P.S. It is a really long list, so set aside a good block of time for it.

It's pretty amusing at times and I tend to ignore most of the sniping between different candidate's camps. I don't know why it took me so long to find this place, but the other place I hang out on the internet is filled with people who discuss every subject under the sun and disagree a lot, so I'm pretty used to that. The glossary is a great tool, I'm sure it will come in quite handy.

In the months after the devastating theft of 2000, without a good outlet for my despair and frustration, I spent a huge amount of time funneling my angst into making a list of everything ** did everyday. With no web skills to speak of, it was amateurish and is now antiquated with broken links, but I let it stand for those days that I need a quick reminder of how quickly a Democracy can be unraveled. It runs through the first 6 months of the first term, at which time I just ran out of steam :-)

I've been hanging around here for years, but only started posting recently. Since before 9/11 when some of us were watching in growing alarm as Bush started dismantling our social programs and refusing to renew our membership in the Kyoto Agreement. You guys are a unique bunch of very intelligent, bright and funny group of people. Oh yeah! And passionate, to say the least.

I owe my sanity to this site and other prominent liberal sites. I'm impressed by the intelligence of the average DUer. I've been coming here daily for 7 years.
