Cheney's Hotel Requirements
Leaked - apparently - from Cheney's office is this list of his hotel requirements, on the eve of
his visit to Australia:

"Cheney is said to require a queen or king-sized bed in his suite, the temperature set at 28 degrees and all lights on. He must have decaf coffee and diet, caffeine-free Sprite, as well as a microwave oven. Oh, and all TVs in the suite must be tuned, at all times, to Fox Cable News."

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/cheneys-hope-history-will-turn-full-circle/2007/02/19/1171733684553.html

All lights on - to hell with climate change, let's burn those fossil fuels.

As for watching only Fox - that's scary, not just because it's blindly biased to the Right, but that
this man who wields so much power doesn't want to keep up with what's really going on in the world,
but just wants to go to sleep secure in the feeling that nothing can penetrade his safe little
bubble. It's one thing to try to keep the truth from other people, but when someone actively tries
to keep from knowing it himself, that's a serious denial of reality.

No wonder he makes so many misjudgments.

16. Thanks from those of us who don't know how 28 C translates.
82 F IS a little stuffy, for sure. Very odd.

Not at all like the Richard M. Nixon combination air conditioner/fireplace treatment!

6. "All" tv's set on Faux Noise?
All tv's? He evidently travels better on taxpayers monies than I can afford for myself.

I'm lucky if there is one TV and if it works.

10. You didn't think he was staying at the Motel 6 did ya?
Not only do they stay in expensive hotels but they pay inflated rates. Believe me, I worked in the hospitality industry for a bit and when the government came calling dollar signs started flying.

7. I think having all the lights on
is because he's afraid of what lurks in shadows and the dark--the world is his closet where the monsters hang out.

28 degrees Celsius is an awfully hot Fahrenheit.

He really shouldn't have a microwave--people with pacemakers can sometimes be fritzed by them (oops, sorry! I forgot he isn't human).

The REAL good thing, though, is that at least he doesn't need or want any calico cats to fricassee.

Safety of artificial sweetener called into question by MP

Examples cited in the Commons of the 6,000 products with aspartame

Felicity Lawrence, consumer affairs correspondent
Thursday December 15, 2005
The Guardian

In 1977 Donald Rumsfeld, now George Bush's defence secretary but then chief executive of the pharmaceutical company GD Searle, publicly stated that he would "call in his markers" to win a licence for aspartame, the sweetener that had been discovered by chance in Searle's laboratories, according to Roger Williams in the Commons yesterday.

Mr Williams, MP for Brecon and Radnorshire, said in an adjournment debate that there was much controversy about aspartame's safety at the time but "Rumsfeld appears to have honoured his pledge". In fact, "the history of the approval of aspartame puts public health regulators and politicians to shame".

The sweetener is now used in 6,000 products, from crisps such as Walkers prawn cocktail, to soft drinks including Diet Coke and Robinson's fruit squash, chewing gums such as Orbit, and vitamins pills and medicines. Yet the science on which it was given approval was "biased, inconclusive, and incompetent". "There is compelling and reliable evidence for this carcinogenic substance to be banned from the UK food and drinks market."

On the day of his inauguration as president in 1981, with Mr Rumsfeld on his transition team, Ronald Reagan personally wrote an executive order suspending the head of the US Food and Drug Administration's powers on aspartame, Mr Williams further claimed. One month later Mr Reagan appointed a new head of the regulatory authority, Arthur Hayes, who granted a licence for the sweetener.

"The history of aspartame's approval is littered with examples showing that if key decision makers found against aspartame's safety, they were discredited or replaced by industry sympathisers, who were recompensed with lucrative jobs."

14. Don't forget his bodily emmissions are also intercepted and destroyed before analysis!
This seems very strange!!!!

As head of the ('anti') terror strategy group, he let civilian airliners be 'hijacked' and 'crashed' into some highly valuable/sensitive American-icon-assets... HOWEVER... his piss and crap has to be 'captured and destroyed'!

To me, if they payed as much attention to Cheney's crap as to Bin Laden, the 'War On Terror' would come to a quick end. Heck!... If they had deployed the pre-911-Cheney-crap-containment-assets before the 'attack', 911 may never have ocurred in the first place.

17. The thermostat set to 28C?
Does the man have no blood in his veins? That's about five degrees warmer than what I usually consider a comfortable temperature.
