On the rewards of moderation
Source: AP

"On all the issues, you're never going to do anything about them unless you have a leader who can break through the partisan gridlock," Lieberman said. "The status quo in Washington is not working."

Thank you joe for being a hypocritical warmongering jerk.

And thank you to you DU'ers who actually supported/defended this republican creep.

1. Well using your logic.... Al Gore must fall into one of these two categories...
1.) "Thank you joe for being a hypocritical warmongering jerk."

2.) " And thank you to you DU'ers who actually supported/defended this republican creep."

Since he chose him as a running mate... What a better question would be concerning Lieberman is how did he change his spots so dramatically from the time he was Gore's running mate?

2. Are you nuts? Lieberman has likely been a Bushie Mole since long before 2000.

Gore made a mistake. How could he have known Lieberamnn was a betrayer and spinless toady for the Bushies?

He should have, but he didn't. I hold Al Gore accountable for bad judgement, nothing more. He might as well have nominated GHW Bush for his Veep.

So, please don't try to change the subject. And anyone who has been paying the least bit of attention knowws that Lieberman has changed NOTHING since 2000.

He was a spinless toady and disgrace to America in 2000, he is a spineless toady and disgrace to America today.

And it's even money he works for the Busheis in some capacity. They probably recruited him using the Crminal Bush Faction of the CIA to make pretend he was serving his country when all he was serving was the Dulles-Nixon-Bush-Cheney Axis of Evil.

I wouldn't expect a man like Lieberman to be able to tell the difference, and I do not believe he would care if he knew. He probably agrees that he and the Busheis ARE America, not the disgusting 300,000,000 peasants they rule.

Ah an interesting position. And valid if not for two little bitty factoids:

1) running mates in presidential elections are occasionally chosen to appease some constituency with the party (in this case the DLC) or to accomodate some sense of 'balance' or in an effort to win over a geographic region.

Liberman was ALWAYS a conservative democrat who was friendly with the religious right even when Gore "chose" him as a running mate. Of course I am certain Gore also "chose" to de-emphasize the environment from the campaign and "chose" to run as a squishy moderate.
