TGIF "Ten days 'til Christmas," Truthseekers!

Tonight we'll review all the news items of the week and take your calls (no poetry calls, please). What was the winning story of the week (no poetry)? Was it the super-bland Republican debate? The Democrats' equally-boring debate? Hillary's slip in the polls (no poetry)?

What do you think, perhaps it was the CIA destruction of torture tapes that may have revealed some details about 9-11 (no poetry). The Bali Conference and Al Gore's statements about the US and global climate change? The revelation that Dana "Too Much Cappuccino" Perino has not a clue about the Cuban Missile Crisis? Maybe it was the Compassionate Conservative’s second S-CHIP veto (no poetry) that you felt was the most significant story of the week, or the Senate passage of a weakened energy bill.

Then there’s the fallen sports heroes stories (no poetry), from Michael Vick to Barry Bonds and baseball’s steroid problem. Or the multiple shootings this week.

What a week it was, we’ll take your (no poetry) calls and sort it out tonight!

99. We're doing our freakazoid temperature fluctuations, although

it's been warmer much later this year! It was in the 70's during the week and we hit 78 here Tues. or Wed., but it's cooler today and will be in the upper 30's overnight with a high in the lower fifties, but we're supposed to be 26 Sun. morning.

How is everything with you?

121. We're OK. Weather's chilly but clear. Some of the neighbors put up holiday lights,

but not as many as last year. I always enjoy looking at the decorations - they cheer up the dark drive home during Daylight Saving Time. Once the holidays are over, you know the days are already getting longer.

I had to break for a deer a couple of blocks from my house. She just pranced out from between some houses. We have a lot of wildlife around here and I enjoy seeing them - even if one of them was probably responsible for the disappearance of our kitty Cleo.

We're doing ok, thanks. The vet said that Skid's developed a heart murmur. There was no sign of it when she examined him in July. After the holidays, we're going to take him for an ultrasound of his heart. Everything else was normal and his blood word didn't show anything out of the ordinary.
