CBS News, mercifully sans Moron Couric this evening, did a story of the grossly over budget Capitol Visitor Center in DC. Slated to already be open at a cost of $261M, it **may** open a year from now at a cost projected at $621M (yup - same numbers, just transposed).

Asshat Kingston was one of a number of REPUBLICANS who had oversight of all aspects of the project until the shift in leadership a year ago. But by then, the die was cast and little in the way of cost overages came about. The REPUBLICANS, while they had control, upped the ante by hundreds of millions at a clip. There is a third congressional chamber in there (with a ventilation system so high tech that if the guy next to you farts, you'll never smell it).



Asshat Kingston is now bemaoning the overages.

Of course, who does he single out?

The cafeteria workers, who, according to him, will take two weeks to deliver your hamburger because they're government employees in the biggest cafeteria in DC.

The cafeteria is hardly the biggest one in DC. I know this for a fact.

The employees will be those of a restaurant company known for quality service .... but still paid shit wages, like all foodservice employees.
