Gov. Matt Blunt has declared a state of emergency for Missouri

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/index.php?smp=&lang=eng

In anticipation of more severe weather, Gov. Matt Blunt has declared a state of emergency, activating the State Emergency Operations Center, the State Emergency Management Agency and the Missouri National Guard. Severe weather began Friday afternoon and is expected to continue through mid-week. "Severe winter storm systems have impacted Missourians across our state and more storms are expected," said Blunt through a news release. "My first concern is for the safety of all Missourians. I urge motorists to travel with extreme caution as the state works to keep highways clean during this continuing winter weather emergency." Power outages have occurred in the central, southwestern and northeastern parts of the state, primarily impacting about 21,000 Ameren UE customers. Resources from state agencies will be used to assist local governments if needed. The Missouri National Guard will be used to protect citizens and property.)

7. We had it all weekend
and now it's going to hit us again tonight.

I hope I can get home from work okay tonight :scared:

I HATE ice. Snow isn't too bad but ice SUCKS.

10. I will be soon whether I wanted to or not
looks like I might be out of electricity here soon too as a big ass limb is laying on the power line. No alarm though as we have the emergency part taken care of, generator/fuel that kind of thing. ;-)

4. I'd much rather have a foot of snow than 1 inch of ice.

5. Hope they (we) are all OK
and safe at home with wood for the fire and enough food. We are under a freezing rain warning for the next two days and nights here in NE Kansas, 100% chance. So far we have lucked out, it never really amounted to much. It sounds like they were not so lucky.

Stay safe everyone.
