(Cheney was here Friday and gave a speech at our WWI Memorial)

VOICES 12/10/07
Cheney speech

Concerning Cheney’s speech at the Liberty Memorial I’d like to ask, “Dick Cheney, have you no shame? This sacred place is to honor those whose sacrifice saved the world from men like you.

David Quinly

5. Does the Veterans of Foreign Wars have no shame who invited him
to speak as well? What kind of an organization is that who puts the name "Veterans" in their organization. After what this man has done to active duty soldiers, their families and to veterans, he was a poor choice to invite to give the speech.

11. He was here to raise money for a republican running for Congress
Why they thought a speech at the WWI memorial was a good idea is beyond my comprehension.

15. He did it so that we would pick up the tab
If he just did a fund raiser then the pukes would have had to pay for the trip, but since he gave a "speech" then the taxpayers would get stuck with the bill.
I bet he was just dying to say something about Iran, but couldn't for looking like an even bigger fool than he is.

.. didn't save the world from men like Cheney.

We are in their thrall.

8. That is a very astute and wonderful comment.
It's quite the smack in the face. I can only wish someone could have said it to his face.

12. Last time Cheney was here in August, this same friend
was interviewed by our local right wing am radio station. They asked what he would say to Cheney if he could and David said

I would tell him we have enough murderers here in Kansas City. We don't need to bring any in from out of town.

:wow:

No, they didn't air his comment. LOL

14. He doesn't have a computer
and only recently got an email address.

But I keep telling him he needs a blog. He makes the most wonderful signs. Here he is in DC at last Jan's march:
