Bush family lacks key gene.

Generosity 'may be in the genes'

Some people may be genetically destined to have a generous personality, Israeli research has suggested.

A total of 203 people took part in an online task in which they could either keep or give away money.

Gene tests revealed those who had certain variants of a gene called AVPR1a were on average nearly 50% more likely to give money away.

The study, by The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, appears online in the journal Genes, Brain and Behavior.

Lead researcher Dr Ariel Knafo said: "The experiment provided the first evidence, to my knowledge, for a relationship between DNA variability and real human altruism."

15. Gone amuck?
I think social hygene only makes sense to people lacking in generosity.

A generous person would never dream of taking someone like George or Barbara Bush as a mate. A generous person would run for the lives just a few minutes into a first date with either of them.

But for unknown reasons people who think they are of superior breeding, which in itself may be a horrible genetic flaw, take it upon themselves to propogate, and they regard it as a great success when their offspring turn out to be as devoid of empathy, sympathy, and generousity as they are.

To his mother, George W. Bush is a successful son. None of the murder and mayhem he engages in pollutes his "beautiful mind."

"Why should we hear about body bags and deaths," Barbara Bush said on ABC's "Good Morning America" on March 18, 2003. "Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?"

That's how people who believe in eugenics think. To themselves they are always the epitome of healthy humanity when in fact they are lacking in the very qualities that make us human.

9. Well, now we know.
I thought it was just a family curse. No matter how much money we make...it just means having more to give.

And then there was my friend, Dennis. One day he said, "I just got a raise! Now I can buy a new shirt!" And that was when I found out he, who had the smallest income of all my friends, was helping me and Wendy with our electric bills, and paying Billy's whole rent. He will be gone 13 years on January 19. I will always miss the person who believed that if I cooked it, it was food.

11. Fascinating. They always were into eugenics.
The Israeli research implies that the things we once believed made up character -- the nurture part -- may be the result of the cards we're initially dealt.

Ma "This is Working Out Very Well for Them" Barker may yet go free.

Not that she, or her brood, deserve it.

13. This is too ironic!
The Nazi loving Prescott Bush who believed in the 'superior Aryan race' theories put forth by Eugenecists to prove that certain racial characteristics make everyone but them 'inferior' turns out to be the founder of a family that lacks the very genes that make people better!

        :silly:
