If Lee Harvey Oswald had been tortured (instead of killed by Nixon's mafia hitman Jack Ruby) would it have been possible to bring him to confess that his Marxist leanings were solely responsible for his desire to bring harm to anti-Communist President JFK? Could the torture have lead to the arrest of other rogue "patsys," such as Cubans who may have been identified with the Castro regime? Would the torture have further acted as a form of intimidation so as not to implicate certain people with wealth and power?
