Nelson statement on resignation of Senator Trent Lott

NELSON STATEMENT ON RESIGNATION OF SENATOR TRENT LOTT

November 26, 2007 - Nebraska's Senator Ben Nelson today issued the following statement on the resignation of Senator Trent Lott.

"Over the past several years Senator Lott and I forged a friendship based on our willingness to work together to find bipartisan solutions for many of the problems facing the Senate and the country. Though I am sorry to see him leave the Senate and I will miss working with him in the future, Diane and I offer him, Tricia and his family our best wishes as he moves on to new challenges."
