What's with the Kunich/Paul discussions?
The same thing happened when Kerry was running..they teamed him with McCain. Wake up! You'll never see a Democrat running for president with a Republican running mate..or vice versa. Why even consider it?

1. Kucinich has great admiration for Paul. Maybe they are kindred spirits. nt.

2. These are mostly people who are jealous that Kucinich has
been so wildly popular at DU.

They finally see an chink in his armor, and are pouncing on the opportunity to bounce on him.

It's quite the spectacle.

9. Not all.
I was a Kucinich support until yesterday evening when I saw for myself him talking about Paul and how we need to be bi-partisan. It was a stupid statement and a deal breaker. Paul is a real douchebag. That's not a "chink" in his armor, that's a gaping hole. Sorry, but I'll be writing in a candidate (again).

12.  ah yes, that hoary old chestnut:
"you're just jealous/afraid/whatever". I've always liked his platform, rarely been impressed with him. And that he is so wildly popular on DU is amusing. Nothing more.

15. man you have posted some seriously stupid shit before
but this post takes the fucking cake. You might want to research Ron Paul, ESPECIALLY if you like to fancy yourself a supporter of equal rights for ALL.

and why would anybody be jealous of somebody who doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning?

7. Do you have audio of Kerry saying he was considering McCain as VP, and singing his praises?
Then you would have a comparison.

Kucinich's idea is a very bad one. Anyone who has looked at Paul's record should be ablt to see that.

14. Didn't knock himself down
At least to me. I'm still voting for him. I didn't see many Obama supporters abandoning him or Biden supporters abandoning him when things they didn't approve of came out. I at least understand what Kucinich was trying to do.

10. Unfortunately, all our candidates have their bashers
All of the Kucinich bashers see a chance to let their feelings out. To be fair, some Kucinich supporters have engaged in purity contests (I haven't so much.) But there are people who just seem to love to bash a candidate, and Kucinich isn't immune to that.

I think even Kucinich knows that he has no chance at the nomination this time. That's why he mentioned Paul so late. He wants to make a point. This is a case where I don't agree with the method, as Kucinich only played lip service to his domestic differences with Paul, acted like the pairing would work, and I'm sure he knows about Paul's racist past. But I'm not changing my vote: Kucinich it is. As I said, it's just about the idea of independent thinking that he's getting across. He could have done it differently, I know. But Kucinich still has the best proposals, and if I don't vote for him now, he might not be there in the next campaign. Kucinich knows he has a devoted, though not big, following.

11.  It's just banter for talking empty heads.
IIRC though, in the early days of the Republic, the Administration would have a VP from the other party.
The contemporary version of the tradition would probably be Bushco*s appointment of Leon Manetta (Dem) (sp?) to head Transportation in his 1st term.
Both Kucinich and Paul would have to be the nominees of their respective parties for this to be even a remote possibility.
People buy lottery tickets too...
