WhistleBlowers Ready To Tell Waxman: Supervisor MURDERED To Keep Him From Talking About Iraqi Fraud.

Did Security Contractors Kill Colonel Westhusing?
By Larry Johnson on November 25, 2007 at 8:17 PM in Current Affairs

Here’s the story in a nutshell. A U.S. Army Colonel Ted Westhusing supervising U.S. security contractors may have been murdered to keep him silent about the fraud he witnessed. Westhusing allegedly killed himself in Iraq in 2005. Before deploying to Iraq he taught English at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. But in Iraq instead of teaching poetry or writing, he supervised security contractors involved in training Iraqi police:

His formal title was director, counter terrorism/special operations, Civilian Police Assistance Training Team, Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq. He liked working closely with his Iraqi counterparts and seemed to get along well with the contractors from Virginia-based U.S. Investigations Services, a private security company with contracts worth $79 million to help train Iraqi police units that were conducting special operations.

Although the article linked above and here strongly imply that Westhusing killed himself, I have it from a source with firsthand knowledge that some military officers who were on the ground with Westhusing believe he was murdered to keep him from blowing the whistle on the corruption he witnessed. I have confirmed that these individuals are willing to tell all they know to Congressman Henry Waxman’s committee. Stay tuned.

1. I hope we can get this information.
It may be the same thing that happened to the woman who was working on finances in Afghanistan who was found on her base with a bullet in her head.

6. Or British weapons expert David Kelly who also "committed suicide"
And much later those investigating his death have concluded that it wasn't likely he could have "committed suicide" with the state his body was in.

I wonder if Judith Miller knows about what happened to him, since she was the last to get emails from him.

5. Soon the dam is going to break on Iraqi War Profiteering Contractors...
The pressure is intense to keep silent everyone who has firsthand knowledge of massive abuse and corruption that has been a way of life in Iraq.

Once a handful take the plunge and tell what they know publicly, there will be a long line others who will step up and tell what they know as well.

The depth and breadth of corruption will be shocking beyond the imagination of the American public.

to come up with?

If they follow the pattern for the defenses used for invading Iraq, they will devise an evolving and revolving list of defenses for this crime.

As one group locks on to one defense, the will change to another and some will quote both and on and on.

7. And which Blackwater Thug murdered Pat Tillman?
We shall never know, but the probability is high it was one that did it, or perhaps just Loyal Bushies in his unit or transferred in for the job.

God, I wish we lived in a country where arch-criminals didn't control law enforcement at it's highest levels.

probably more ---

and it seems to also be connected with drug running thru the military --

and until these people can talk freely, heavens knows what all else --- !! ????

20. Have there have been a lot of "non combat" related deaths to our soldiers in this war?
It seems that every month you read or hear of another soldier who has died in a situation in Iraq other than combat and the officials are "looking into it." Does anyone ever get a satisfactory explanation of these events? How can we ever believe these results with the record of deception the military in general and this administration have?

The reputation this administration for deception has made every aspect of the work of this government suspect. This is horrible in any condition but to be the family of a soldier trying to get "truth" about the death of a loved one in this morally ambiguous climate must be a nightmare.

21. Money trumps...er..a..peace sometimes. And apparently life too,
Would you kill over 3000 people for $29 trillion dollars? Do you think there are people in power who would? Do you think there are people in power ..here...that would? How much death will $2 billion buy?

"Money trumps...er...a................?????" (President Bush comment)

25. Westhusing, 44, was no ordinary officer.
He was not just an English teacher:

>

Westhusing, 44, was no ordinary officer.

He was one of the Army's leading scholars of military ethics, a full
professor at West Point who volunteered to serve in Iraq to be able to
better teach his students.

He had a doctorate in philosophy; his dissertation was an extended
meditation on the meaning of honor.

So it was only natural that Westhusing acted when he learned of possible
corruption by U.S. contractors in Iraq."
