i remembered recently hearing randi talk about this--explaining WHY republicas are making the government suck so much--basically so they can privatize EVERYTHING and make their fortunes.

1. Yes, it was a self-fulfilling prophecy since Regan said...

"government is the problem." Despite their whining and bitching, government did work. So it was up to the Republicans to throw a wrench into the gears. They can't stand seeing government provide services to citizens and not be able to take pocket a huge percentage of the funds. You are absolutely correct.

and rather than believing "government" is useless, people will come to the realization that the Republican Party itself is what is "useless."
