Beware the Snorlax...your getting sleepy.
Think about it. How would you desensitize the voting public when you have such a crappy president and you (the corporate oligarchs) want to keep crappy 'Pocket Monsters' in the WH for the next 8 years?

Answer: Make the bid for candidates so long that the average person gets bored and walks away.

Sure the pundits and people that visit DU are not going to just walk away, but the average voter will - and I submit, IS walking away. Turning their backs and just trying to get on with their lives.
