Muslim caliphate in the American south.
Edited on Thu Nov-15-07 10:07 AM by Lord Wortherington
How did this happen?

With all the controversy surrounding crescent shaped memorials to 9/11 victims, when do you think the reich-wing will jump all over South Carolina for this blatant pro-Muslim bias on their state flag?

"with right-wing activists alleging an anti-American bias in some of the written statements and a perceived pro-Islam bias based on an alleged crescent shape of the memorial."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9/11_Memorial_(Arizona)

"this design drew criticism because it was entitled "Crescent Embrace". The crescent is the symbol of the Ottoman Empire, which was the last major Muslim world power, and the alleged terrorists who hijacked the aircraft were Muslim and conducted the attacks in the name of Islam."

1. Money would have been better spent on a library or a clinic
Yes, and a nod to your thesis. It is clever.

Was not the moon a symbol on one of the units in the Confederate Army? I remember from the Ken Burns documentary that the white moon on the cosmic blue field was the flag that struck terror into the hearts of the Union soldiers.

4. A closer look at the S.C, Flag
if one squints their eyes a bit,

that there 'Palmetto Tree' aside & below the 'Cresent'
looks suspiciously like a mushroom cloud from a nuclear explosion...

adding more symbology to the mix...
the flag itself is reminding me of the 'Blue Screen of Death'
we dread on our PCs.

woo-woo

What is that in the center of the "palm tree"?

Is that someone flipping the bird?

Or is it Sideshow Bob's profile??
