Why is this place not going nuts over the Armitage revelation
Edited on Mon Nov-12-07 12:08 PM by liberal N proud
I am surprised there are not at least a dozen thread on this story: One in LBN that is 24 hours old and didn't even get one rec.

Armitage says he was 'foolish' to leak CIA agent's name
Former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage told CNN's Wolf Blitzer in an interview broadcast Sunday that he did not realize Plame was a covert agent when he discussed her with syndicated columnist Robert Novak.

Novak, a former CNN contributor, wrote the July 2003 column in which Plame was named as a CIA employee. He later cited his sources as Armitage and Karl Rove, then President Bush's top political adviser.

Armitage said he had seen a memo that said Plame was publicly chairing a meeting, so he assumed her CIA employment was not a secret.

"There was no ill intent on my part, and I had never seen, ever in 43 years of having a security clearance, a covert operative's name in a memo,"

2. What a liar
He knows full well he committed treason as did all those bastards. But will anybody be impeached. Oh no! Back to the election, we must not be distracted from Hillary's coronation.

3. Mainly, Because there is no Accountability
for what had transpired. I also believe Armitage is trying to be a "patsie", not sure how others feel.

5. Because the Rule of Law is dead in this country, that's why
Speaking for myself, anyway. It's patently obvious that the usual suspects have twisted the truth in order to afford themselves cover. Armitage read her name off a memo and "innocently" blabbed it to Novak, "not realizing" Plame was a NOC. Armitage looks like a fool after a lifetime dealing in secrets, and the No Accountability crowd skates. It's all so neat and tidy.

Plausible Deniability wins again.

9. Well.. Joe Scarborough and Mika worked this one over and decided that Fitz was
OTT in carrying forward the case because he knew the whole time that Armitage was the leaker. He spent probably five minutes going back and forth with Mika about how there was no "there, there" with the Wilson's lawsuit and how hoked up it was to hurt poor Scooter Libby. Pretty much trashing Fitzgerald and laughing at the Wilsons. Obviously the Bushies are pushing this to Scarborough who is just a mouthpiece for them. I was disappointed that Mika joined in. But, then I can't stand the show ...just tuned in while surfing. :puke:

12. Because it's not a "revelation?" And not the first time Armitage has publically spoken about it. n/t
