The Constitution: Hide It In Our Hearts
When I was growing up, my mother used to constantly caution me and my sisters that we should hide the Bible in our hearts. That way no one could take it away.

Today, I feel the same way about the Constitution. When I hear people defending warrantless wiretapping and torture. it makes me believe that the American public has forgotten that the heart and soul of our republic is our Constitution.

So this year, I will give out copies of the Constitution as Christmas presents so that I and all those around me can hide it in our hearts so no one can take it away.

Peace.

1. Send it to every member of Congress ,they took theirs off the Table.
Not only a terrible legacy for this administration, but a mark on us all.

4. holding the constitution out of sight in our hearts does nothing
Edited on Sun Nov-11-07 11:03 AM by donsu

it's like the Gov. of Ga. praying for rain (if that worked the world would never have droughts.)

the constitution should be out front, big and bold, and demanding Justice.

5. We were born with it in our heart
It springs forth from the heart like love.

It is the nature of human beings.

It is a sad person that hides their love and fails to express it.

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

That is our heart speaking.

Speak from your heart, hold the constitution in it, express it.

It is our right, defend it.
