Fox News airs bizarre claim that Hillary ordered hit on cats
Sen. Clinton's accuser is Kathleen Willey, the one-time White House aide who in 1993 claimed to have been groped by then-president Bill Clinton in the Oval Office. Willey raised the strange cat-killing allegation -- and a raft of others -- in her new book, Target: Caught in the Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

The Fox and Friends morning program detailed charges in the book that Willey's cat, Bullseye, was the victim of a targeted hit by a Clinton-hired henchman.

"A man, he was pretending to be a jogger, he came up to me and just asked did I ever find my cat?" Willey told the New York Sun, who also picked up the cat story Wednesday. "He mentioned my cat by name and , 'Yeah, that Bullseye was a really nice cat.'" Willey told the Sun the abducted cat was part of an intimidation plan organized by the Clintons after she was called to testify in Paula Jones' sexual harassment suit against the president.

...

The cat killings are the least of Willey's accusations against the Clintons, who she suspects -- wholly without evidence -- were involved in the murder of her husband. She also contends the couple orchestrated the attempted theft of an early manuscript of Target. The UK's Daily Mail also published a story on those claims, which the conservative website Drudge Report linked to in a banner reading "Here comes Kathleen."

Media Matters Comments:

As Media Matters has noted, on the March 15, 1998, edition of CBS' 60 Minutes, Willey alleged that Bill Clinton fondled her against her will in 1993 during a private White House meeting in which she asked for a paid position in the administration. Clinton denied making any sexual advance toward Willey. As the report by independent counsel Robert Ray noted, "Because the alleged incident arose in an employment context, Judge Susan Webber Wright ruled the allegations could be explored during discovery in Jones ," the lawsuit in which Paula Jones claimed that Clinton sexually harassed her in an employment context. Ray's report, however, found that "Willey's Testimony to the Grand Jury About the Alleged Incident Differed Materially from Her Deposition Testimony Given in Jones v. Clinton," noting that Willey "said at her deposition ... that did not fondle her." Ray also found that Willey contradicted herself on whether she had told others about the alleged incident, and asserted that Willey gave false information to the FBI.

4. This is a perfect example of why the centrist pandering and triangulating is bullshit
It wouldn't matter if a Democratic candidate was squeaky clean with a perfect service record and hitting all the rightwing talking points all the time, the CorpMedia would still make up shit to smear them.

So they might as well get out there, tell the hard brutal truth, and take a liberal progressive position because they are going to get slimed anyway.

13. You were expecting maybe something truthful from Kathleen "Slick" Willey?

Lest anyone forget...

Kathleen Willey: Here is a woman who lied about so much, and lied so badly, that she violated the terms of her immunity agreement with the OIC. But Ken Starr, the OIC's head, wanted Clinton's head on a platter so badly that, instead of punishing or jailing Willey, he merely gave her another immunity agreement. And Starr's gambit might have worked, too, if it wasn't for the brave stand of a woman -- and a registered Republican, at that! -- named Julie Hiatt Steele, an acquaintance of Willey's. Ms. Steele's refusal to lie for Ken Starr cost her a good job, her home, and her life savings. Starr even tried to look into Julie's adoption of a Romanian child, apparently to see if he could take her child away from her. But still, she stood firm.

15. Willey is nothing more than a shill for The Usual R-W Suspects. She gets away with her nuttiness
Edited on Thu Nov-08-07 10:32 AM by WinkyDink
by usuing the terms "In my opinion", "I suspect", "I think", and the like---to imply MURDER, let alone sexual harassment and burglary (NONE OF WHICH, IMO, she believes for one nano-second).

What she is experiencing is GUILT, for being NOT AT HOME WITH HER HUSBAND when he decided to KILL HIMSELF.

MY opinion is that she went to see Bill to get his help, yes, but that she OFFERED HERSELF as the "quid".

18. She was on Hannity & Colmes last night
and to his credit, Alan Colmes shredded her story, giving Linda Tripp's grand jury testimony on how Willey was thrilled with Clinton's attention, and planned future rendezvous with him, asking Tripp for advice on what to wear, etc. Willey brought chicken soup to Clinton when he had a cold.

Now she's claiming that someone put a raccoon skull on her front porch. Colmes asked her if she really thought the president of the U.S. would place a skull on her porch. Colmes also brought up the fact that Robert Ray, Clinton's investigator, discredited her inconsistent testimony.

She's also claiming that Clinton killed her husband, and is hiring investigators to look into it.

27. I also have to wonder
why she chooses to live in a rural area with no protection if she's so afraid of the Clintons. And why would she risk writing such an inflammatory book if she fears for her life? I remember reading a while back that she'd remarried, but there's no reference to a current husband anymore.

20. It is time for the Clintons to go. We appreciate their
past service to the nation, in spite of the gaffes. But is is simply time for them to go. Step aside and give the nation some breathing space to heal and regroup. The same applies to the Bush family...minus the appreciation. Go, just go. Now. Get out. Enough. Leave.

24. Don't think that by getting rid of the Clinton's you get rid of this shit.
If they feel threatened, the pukes will do the same, damn thing. Look at what they did to John Kerry!

Time for the Republicans to go, just go. Now. Get out. Enough. Leave.

That will solve our problem...

25. It is time for the corporatists to go. Period. Pukes and Third Way
adherents alike. They sell the same snake oil. * or Clinton. Same flavor, bought and paid for by the same interest groups. They both need to go. And we need a serious populist movement to take the nation back from the precipice.
