By Gosh ..... when a *Hero* just isn't good enough .......
.... we get a *Genuine American Hero*. And, according to loser/dropout Brownback, that would be John McCain.

And what's the antithesis of a *Genuine American Hero*?

An Ersatz Canadian Hero?

A Phony French Hero?

A Nonexistent Italian Hero?

A ....... ?

This is the shit that happens when you overplay words .... like 'hero'.

Feh ......

1. vs an Imaginary Hero, Legend in their own Minds

2. To his credit, McCain admitted that getting shot down doesn't make you a hero...
and he admitted he got into the Academy because of his family history.

I give him dap for that.

4. Yeah, he did .......
.... and my quarrel is not with him. Its with the asshats who call everything that wears some type of uniform as a 'hero'.

I served one monumentally unremarkable stint in the Navy back in the 60s and to listen to some of these hero worshipers today, **I** would be a hero. And that, my friend, is outrageous.

7. I completely agree. And a lot of navy folks signed up to avoid being drafted by the army...
Agreed. Attendance isn't reason enough to be a 'hero'.

That would be me.

Much better to take your bed, toilet, and kitchen with you than to get crotch rot out in the jungle.

9. Ab-so-lutely!
Good thing more folks didn't figure that out.

Two of my friends did this and the army tried to draft them after they'd been the navy for over a year. Once you've gone to Electronics school and started nuke school, you're in the navy to stay. Whew!

3. It's a Lame Duck, It's a 9/11 Plane, It's STUPER W!
Able to leap large information gaps in a single bound, walks on water because shit floats, bends reality with his bare hands, faster than a speeding terrorist. You get the drift.
