Any questions?

QT Grammar R Us Seminar on the English Language (cont'd):

From a Fox News blog:

"There are a lot of questions about waterboarding. First of all, how to spell it -- as one word or with a hyphen?"

The word isn't found in standard dictionaries. But transcripts at www.white house.gov have it without the hyphen.

We should probably accept the usage ruling of those in charge of American torture programs.

The Spanish Inquisition called it torturo del agua, by the way.

And the German Gestapo used it as a form of verscharfte Vernehmung.
