Firefox Users!!! I just found a MUST HAVE Firefox Plug-in!
Edited on Mon Oct-29-07 10:24 PM by Up2Late
McAfee Site Advisor has a Plug-in for FireFox that tells you, in a really simple way, which websites Google and YaHoo! Search results are "safe" sites (Free of Spyware, Adware, malicious software, etc.)!!!

Check it out at the link below, if you use search engines (Google, YaHoo!, AOL Search, etc.) then you need this!

What if I click it and end up in cyber-purgatory for eternity? Eeeek. Paranoia runs deep. Into your life it will creep...

10. Don't worry, I don't believe in cyber-purgatory or eternity...
...unless by eternity, you mean Saṃsāra?

8. Oy. I have Firefox plugin overkill
I've even disabled some. The only ones I keep on a regular basis are Fasterfox, Flashgot, Adblock and Colorful Tabs.

12. Colorful Tabs? What's that do?
I mostly just use IE Tab, comes in handy a lot.

Yeah, some of them are a bit too much, I tried one that popped up a warning evey time you surf to a page which runs a script, drove me crazy.

HINT: almost every web page runs at least one script.

16. It just colors the tabs differently for each site
For instance, I have DU set to green, so I can find them easily.

13. Is there a version of Fasterfox for v.2.0.0.8?
I had Fasterfox and loved it until some months ago, when it wasn't compatible with a Firefox upgrade. I've looked for it in their add-ons, but

15. I use Spybot S & D...all websites have some form
of those in the ads .... I don't want to be blocked from sites by a program.

I get alerted if anything funky is detected anyway by my AV.

Thanks for the heads up though! ;)

19. It doesn't block anything
It just shows a little circle that's red, yellow, or green. You can move your cursor to the circle and get a popup that tells you exactly what malware is on the site. YOU choose whether to open the link or not. I find it a very handy tool.

Damn that "eyeball" person!

I wonder if they would catch on if 50 people suddenly gave DU a 5-star rating?

The are scumbags, but I think most here already knew that.

26. Anyone here tried the "del.icio.us Bookmarks" add-on?
I've never used del.icio.us, but I've thought about trying it for a while. Should I already be signed up for a del.icio.us account before installing the "del.icio.us Bookmarks" add-on?
