Note to Sharon: The best "forgiveness" is to stuff it down their throats (to quote LIMBOsevic). As for BOIES, he's stretching his Faux-loving wings in representing Blackwater, but his record shows he will probably lose whatever case.

Evangelical Bash For Bush Ex

PRESIDENT Bush's ex-sister-in-law, Sharon Bush, says she healed after her divorce from Neil Bush by becoming a devoted follower of TV evangelist Joel Osteen, for whom she hosted a private reception at the National Arts Club last week. Sharon invited 150 friends to meet Houston-based Osteen and his pastor wife, Victoria. "He is like family to me," said Bush. "He helped me heal after my divorce. For 23 years I was a member of the most powerful family there is, and with Joel's help I turned to the most powerful force in the universe." She says Osteen saved her after Neil left her with little money in their bitter bust-up four years ago: "I went to church with the Bushes, then they basically put me on the street with a shopping cart. Joel helped me. I'm now working on forgiveness." Veronica Hearst, Tommy Tune and Oprah Winfrey's niece, Chrishaunda Lee, attended the reception. The Osteens followed the party with sold-out events at Madison Square Garden on Friday and Saturday, where National Arts Club president Aldon James was overheard saying Bush's party "had the same energy as the evening Princess Diana visited the club back in 1994."

Defense Dept.

LAWYER David Boies, who represented Al Gore in the Bush vs. Gore 2000 recount battle in Florida, may have a new controversial client in Blackwater CEO Erik Prince, whose security company is under investigation after some of his men opened fire on Iraqi civilians. The two were seen dining at The Four Seasons restaurant Monday night, along with Charlie Rose and Amanda Burden. "The firm does not comment on what clients it represents except when it is counsel of record in a pending litigation," said a Boies assistant.

She needs authoritarian figures in her life.

2. One can only hope that Sharon passes on the herpes Neil gave her.
Bois did such a good job in 2000, he deserves it.

4. Charlie Rose at the same table with Prince?
Was his portion of the meal paid by Blackwater or PBS or from his personal wallet? These four were at the same table?

5. Burden - NY Plannining Commissioner and more
"Born Amanda Jay Mortimer, she is the daughter of socialite Babe Paley (1915-1978) and her first husband, Stanley Grafton Mortimer, Jr. (1913-1999), an heir to the Standard Oil fortune. A descendant of the first chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, John Jay, she has a brother, Stanley Grafton Mortimer 3rd; five half-siblings, William Cushing Paley, Kate Cushing Paley, Averell Mortimer, Jay Mortimer, and David Mortimer; and two stepsiblings, Hilary Paley Califano and Jeffrey Paley. Her stepmother, Kathleen Mortimer, was a daughter of railroad heir and United States ambassador Averell Harriman.

Burden briefly attended Wellesley College until her marriage in 1964. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1976, with a concentration on Environmental Science. She later earned a Master of Urban Planning from Columbia University, writing an award-winning thesis about solid-waste management.

Burden has been married twice.

Her first husband was Shirley Carter Burden Jr. (1941-1996), a multimillionaire descendant of Commodore Vanderbilt and a great-nephew of the actor Douglas Fairbanks Sr.. At the time of their marriage on 13 June 1964, Carter Burden was a student at Columbia Law School. An owner of the Village Voice and New York Magazine and later a New York City councilman, he worked as an aide to Sen. Robert Kennedy in the 1960s, sparking his wife's interest in social justice and inspiring her to pursue a teaching career. They had two children, Flobelle Fairbanks Burden and S. Carter Burden 3rd, before divorcing in 1972.

Her second husband was Steven J. Ross (1927-1992), the head of Warner Communications; they married in 1979 and divorced in 1981.

Burden has had an on-and-off relationship with television personality Charlie Rose since the early 1990s."

9. That had to be one of the strangest gatherings in a long while..
Veronica Hearst, Tommy Tune and Oprah Winfrey's niece, Chrishaunda Lee, attended the reception. The Osteens followed the party with sold-out events at Madison Square Garden on Friday and Saturday, where National Arts Club president Aldon James was overheard saying Bush's party "had the same energy as the evening Princess Diana visited the club back in 1994."
