What is Bush waiting for?
He has all of the tools in place. He has the power to order martial Law, he can designate anyone an "enemy combatant", he has the "detention centers" ready, habeas corpus has been suspended, the posse commitatus has been revoked; he's got Blackwater, the media, the corporations, he's got an ignorant, gullible populace that is easily frightened...

What is he waiting for? Or is he just too damned lazy? At the end of the day, after he's gotten everything he wants, is it just too damned much work? Maybe, after all of the pieces are in place, Dick is just too feeble to take it on...

2. Maybe his goal isn't declaring martial law and making himself president for life?
I mean maybe it never was?

11. I don't think that he wants to be president for life.
He is too lazy and is waiting for the day that he can tell us all to *uck off. On the other hand I think that his party would happily use martial law to finish the raping and pillaging of the American people, the only project that they have been successful with.

4. He's Got Time
Why rush something, if the elections don't go the way he wants them to, he can always declare martial law. He dosen't have to do it now, and if he is planning it he's probably been advised to wait.

5. He doesnt need to do this
His machine is running just fine. If he were to declare martial law, people would freak out and revolt. As it is now, we gleefully pay our $3 a gallon for gas, his corporate buddies are running around like drunken frat boys on a date rape spree, and we the people have yet to say shit.

The Dems have yet to stop him in his current incarnation of evil. He doesnt need to step it up. Until the dems say stop, his hand will not be forced. Thanks Dems for giving it up like a lonely girl on prom night.

9. He is waiting for more middle class to be brought to its knees.
He must give the banking bill time to bankrupt more of the middle so that they will not be in a position to fight. Mentally and physically exhausted, the middle class will feel too weak to fight. We will be easier to herd into the confines of the detention centers.

12. I think the chimp is anxious to retire & "fill up the old coffers" on the lecture circuit.
It's hard work being president & especially when he isn't popular. You can see the toll it's taken on him -- he looks like shit.

They will put another lackey in office & Cheney & the neocons will still call the shots.
