2. It was okay but it would have been better if he had gone!
We have to show we are not afraid of these people and many Democrats are gun owners. Just because we support legislation to control gun violence does not mean we are taking everyones gun away. That is an RW myth that we ought to combat.

8. There are important differences between owning a rifle and a handgun.
Emphasis has to be placed on that difference.

Few crimes are committed with rifles.

3. When is someone going to have their "Sister Soljah" moment with the NRA?
Slap them a whammy for making handguns wildly available and helping criminals?

It's about handguns, not rifles.

5. And you think no Democrats have handguns? Think again.
I don't like the NRA personally because I disagree with their stance on assault weapons and safety locks but a surprising number of Democrats , who might not agree with all their platform are members and more Democratic gun owners yet are not members. If the NRA members realized that we are NOT going to take their guns away, they might be more willing to listen to us and vote for us1

7. But the majority of Americans want tighter gun control. You'd never know from legislation. nt

4. Fuck the NRA,
Most gun owners will have nothing to do with that wackjob cult.

6. Not so. And especially in red states the NRA endorsement helps!
That is reality!
