So, how long should it take for a soldier's family to get his headstone?

I really don't know, but a soldier from our city that died in Iraq almost 2 1/2 years ago still doesn't have a headstone on his grave. The grave isn't neglected. There are artifacts, pictures, flags, and other memorial items there, including a flag I placed on hisgrave right before Memorial Day. But he died in April 2005, and I keep wondering what could be taking so long, if it is the VA or army, or maybe the family is squabbling about a detail.

Heck, if he didn't fall for the admin's line of bull to begin with, he might not need the headstone.

2. That seems awfully long. We got the stone for my grandfather's grave in time for his memorial

service, but he passed away in the fall and we had the service the following summer.
