11 N.J. Officials Arrested on Corruption - ( be prepared to be outraged)
Another example of the fucking media drawing attention to Democrats while ignoring or not mentioning Repigs:

"11 N.J. Officials Arrested on Corruption
Published: 9/6/07, 1:25 PM EDT
By TOM HESTER Jr.
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - FBI agents arrested 11 public officials in towns across New Jersey Thursday on charges of taking bribes in exchange for influencing the awarding of public contracts, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
/snip

Democratic state Assemblymen Mims Hackett Jr. and Alfred E. Steele were arrested, as was Passaic Mayor Samuel Rivera. Also arrested were Keith Reid, the chief of staff to Newark's City Council president; Passaic councilmen Jonathan Soto and Marcellus Jackson; two current Pleasantville school board members, three former board members and a private citizen. One of the former school board members is now a Pleasantville city councilman.

Thursday's arrests were the latest in an anti-corruption campaign waged by Christie's office.

More than 100 public officials in the state have been convicted on federal corruption charges in the last five years. Two other Democratic state senators, Wayne Bryant of Lawnside and Sharpe James of Newark, are among others facing pending corruption charges."

I need some help here: Are ALL these guys arrested Democrats, or did they just not label the repugs??? Nowhere in this story does it mention the word "republican",....

1. All it probably means is that the other offices are elected in
non partisan elections...

For instance, Cleveland City Council as well as all local school boards are non-partisan elections...

5. A couple of pertinent facts.
Most elected officials in NJ are Democrats. So any big sweep will pull in the Dems.

That said, this U.S. attorney is highly political (big GOP contributor) and it's rumored he plans to run for senator or governor.

He's the same guy who tried to go after Bob Menendez.
