Moderate Dems
Are really beginning to piss me off. Of course the pukes are pissers, that goes without saying the damn idiots. But the Dems ought to know better, and that's what makes me so mad.

The world is in serious trouble.... the environment is collapsing, traditional energy sources are drying up, and the nuclear clock is at 11:59 and ticking.

But what do our brothers and sisters do? They say we can't impeach. They say we shouldn't get 'radical', that we need to toe the line and elect more of the same kind of politicians who got us into this mess.

Thank Gawd for some of you here who are smart enough to see the hand writing on the wall and are willing to not keep sucking up to the leaders who have lead us this far.

We voted for change in 2006, and nothing has changed. Enough!

1. Well, we wouldn't want to go out on a limb.
We have to keep our powder dry.

2. Dry Powder
Shoot, the moderate dems have been pissing in the powder.

And the DLC won't let us get close to any of that powder cuz they know we'd blow them sky high. It is why we are the underground.

One day we're gonna get a match under that pile and blow bushco away.

IMPEACH. NOW!

3. I'm a moderate Dem
And what's pissing me off are pie in the sky democrats who don't have any real understanding of the process, and think there's some kind of magic button in Reid and Pelosi's offices that will fix everything and they are just refusing to press it.

But I suppose we will have to live with each other.

4. Real Understanding?
Do you understand we are about at the end of the line? That if change doesn't happen soon, and it is change that we control, that a shitstorm will overtake this country? Or do you think it is going along just fine and bushco will save us?

8. Yep - as a moderate Democrat who supports Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi
I am clearly of the opinion that bushco will save us.

Makes perfect sense.

9. Incongruent
Because those two obviously trust that bushco is doing alright, otherwise they'd be bringing bushco down.

Are you saying you think it makes perfect sense for them to keep allowing bushco free to keep on doing what they are doing?

Yep, you moderate dems are the problem..... you are sheep just being led to slaughter. Thank Gawd not all of us are so sheepish.

14. You and Bush have a certain amount in common
He says "Either you follow my way of fighting the Terrorists or you want the terrorists to win."

you say "Either Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and you fight Bush my way or you are on his side."

Very similar in my mind.

5. It's easy to say there is no support for impeachment of Cheney
when the leadership is not ASKING for support of impeachment.

With support for impeachment of Cheney in the high 40s across the board, and among democrats in the 60s, I think it is certain that there is any number of congresspersons who would support proceeding with it if they only knew they had the support of the leadership.

That they are not doing it is not because they are afraid of the republican, but they are afraid of being left out to dry by the democrats.

The magic button is nothing more than a statement that 'impeachment is not off the table'.

6. What the fuck?
Moderate Democrats, and Moderates in general, seem to me to make leaps that stagger the mind. This goes well beyond all the shit going on in Congress right now and to some key issues. I've heard of "moderates" who oppose partial birth abortions yet are pro-choice because that's the "moderate" position. What the fuck? PBAs DON'T exist!

Another example is Universal Health Care, as they bill it, is a fucking quagmire of hundreds of rules for thousands of insurance companies and include expensive subsidies and piles of shit that takes a fucking backhoe to get through, and they call that progress? Yeah, let's NOT try a system that already works in other countries, and try something that isn't that new, and relies on our already failed system now, that makes sense. :eyes:

Gods forbid we go "extreme" when it makes LOGICAL sense.

7. I don't know that I've ever talked about PBAa or Universal Health Care
But I suppose it is easier to argue with hypothetical Moderate Dems.

10. I doubt you've even considered it, eh?
Otherwise you'd have posted. Or at least talked about the matter. And that, dear moderate, is what is causing the problem, you won't even talk about it!

11. Its far from hypothetical, unfortunately, we have 3 top tier candidates with a UHC system as I...
have summarized, and far too many Dems in Congress oppose and voted against the right wing fantasy of partial birth abortion.

12. I'm a fucking SOCIALIST and I agree with you.
My main concern is throwing the rascals out in 2008.

13. Ya know
The world needs more socialists.

While I do consider myself to be an independent type person, I realize that my freedom depends on others being happy and free, too. But what we are up against are people who want to make slaves of us all.

Moderate dems and the pukes are playing into that slave game and seem to be willing slave material. We simply have to do better.

16. The question should be: Why the hell are you STILL a MODERATE Democrat? You, of all people, see what
these thugs have done and what needs to happen to fix our country and it sure as hell ISN'T giving this cabal everything they want which is EXACTLY what the MODERATES are doing! WTF?

Reid and Pelosi can't do jack shit BECAUSE OF the moderates who are destroying our party from within by doing the bidding of the repukes...NOT the Democrats (FISA BILL is the perfect example!). Do you REALLY want repukes to continue running our country? If not, I cannot understand why you insist on being a "sensible center' Democrat. If you want change, it's NOT going to happen by giving the repukes everything they want and that's exactly what your moderates are doing!

18. Like them or not, we need moderate dems to controll congress
There's too many states where dems who aren't moderate enough don't stand a chance at winning an election.

Take Jim Web for example, he only barely won, but if we had run some extreme liberal we very well may have lost that seat and control of the senate.

In places like PA though last election, where we kicked Rick Santorum's butt by 20% I think, part of the reason for that was because Bob Casey was a moderate. Yeah we probably could have gotten a more liberal candidate elected there pretty easily, but a moderate democrat is way better then an extreme conservative like Rich Santorum.
