Larry Craig's booking photos
They're not all that interesting, but the USA Today has some interesting updates.

1. Saw them on CNN about 15 mins. ago. They also interviewed
an officer from the Atlanta airport. He said the kind of stake outs that nabbed Craig were originally started because many people who steal luggage take it o the restroom to go through it. Them they found many OTHER things going on behind those restroom doors.

2. Got that standard issue flag lapel pin
How could we think anything but the best of this guy? Sure, he's a little forgetful about things, but who isn't? I mean, you could be Danish and not know it unless you had a little Danish flag lapel pin! So, that's why he has his American flag lapel pin. And sexual orientation? Well, apparently Larry had his little general out and remembered that he was supposed to do something with it. He was just asking the fella in the next stall for a little help, and the next thing you know, whammo! Arrested, booked, fingerprinted and pleading guilty.

The poor guy.

4. That's the real mystery here.
Why should he meet with a stranger for sex? Doesn't Sen. Craig know that if you wear your lapel flag pin, Sean Hannity will automatically give you a blow job?

6. I thought they confiscate your jewelry and shoelaces when you're booked?
How does he get to keep a flag lapel pin?

7. I think it is just sad
all the way around. I know he has been a hypocrite but to have all the years of what you have done in life reduced to this, and the pain for his wife. It just makes me sad.

9. No, it makes perfect sense.

He figures if he makes people ashamed to be openly gay, there will be more gay men hiding in public restrooms where sad, lonely Republicans can find them.

Why legalize gay marriage? It would just take more men off the market and out of the men's rooms for Larry Craig.

And Rep. Robert Allen.

And Dr. Hugh H. Tilson.

12. Haggard wasn't an elected or appointed government official. And Tom Foley...
didn't (as far as we know) get caught committing or soliciting acts in public.

Hey, didn't Bush's anti-porn Czar expose himself to little girls at a mall?

I have to look that one up.

10. He wouldn't feel bad for you
if you were arrested and he wouldn't even care if you really were innocent.

Think about that poor guy who is going to be executed in a few days, who didn't even kill anybody and who they didn't even prove had the intention to kill anybody. Save your sympathy for the people they've persecuted.

13. People on my ignore list often say stupid things that call for the kind of response you just wrote.
Don't even tell me who you were responding to.

Just know that I can tell, based on your response, that putting them on ignore was the right choice for me.

DU is a much smarter place, from my perspective, thanks to the Wonder of Ignore.
