The difference between Dem foreign policy and Repug foreign policy:
Dems: Empires aren't inherently evil - if America is an empire, we're the best of the the bunch.

Repugs: Empires aren't inherently evil - if America is an empire, we're the baddest motherfuckers of the bunch.

(shamelessly derived from a comment at A Tiny Revolution )

1. Looking back at foreign policy in the last century, I'm inclined to agree.
A lot of things committed against the third world by the US government have been committed during both Repub/Dem administrations.

2. If there's one thing both parties agree on, it's imperialism. (nt)

5. Which is precisely why I won't vote for any more imperialists -- it just encourages them.
Seriously. 2008 will most likely be the first presidential election ever in which I will refuse to vote. I have been voting faithfully for Dems since 1972, but it's become all too apparent that NO politician of either party (save the few "fringe" politicians like Kucinich) is going to call for a halt of the American Imperial Project.

Anyhow, I see absolutely no good reason to vote for something I most definitely do NOT want. I see no meaningful alternative except exercising my right to refuse to participate in the charade.

6. So, I take it you disagree? No problem -- although I don't quite understand why you wouldn't just
say it directly.
